After the resounding success of the CASN Clinical Instructor Workshop, March 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, CASN is pleased to announce the launch of a CASN Clinical Instructor Certificate Course!
Course themes will include:
- Roles and responsibilities of the clinical instructor
- Monitoring and evaluating students in clinical settings
- Developing good patient assignments
- Mentoring and coaching students
- Issues, challenges, and strategies for clinical instructors
- Creating a positive learning environment for students and,
- Roles and responsibilities of the educational institution.
The course will encompass clinical education in acute care settings and public health/community nursing placements.
Delivery: Online
Timeframe: October 2013-November 2013 (specific dates to be determined); 5, 2-hour webinar sessions.
