As you may know, CASN has been hard at work collecting public health teaching strategies from nurse educators across the country. The submissions have been tallied and the exemplars are now available for use from our Public Health Website!
The Public Health Teaching Strategies website has over 50 teaching strategies from 30 unique submitting groups. These strategies incorporate indicators from all five Entry-to-Practice Public Health Nursing Competencies for Undergraduate Nursing Education competency domains. Each strategy is described in thorough detail, including links to relevant resources.
The purpose of the public health website is to act as a repository of exemplar teaching strategies that can be used by nurse educators to integrate the Entry-to-Practice Public Health Nursing Competencies for Undergraduate Nursing Education into curricula. The website includes unique and innovative strategies that cover a variety of demographic, cultural and geographic differences.
