Description
This meeting is for nurse educators who are also engaged in the clinical placements process for undergraduate and graduate nursing students in Canada. Clinical placements in nursing education in Canada is perhaps at one of its most challenging times in our history due to: the pandemic, staffing shortages and health care funding, pressures to increase student enrollment, and increasing challenges in finding placements appropriately leveled for students in diverse areas that reflect the realities of nursing practice. This meeting will provide those educators involved in clinical placements in nursing education across Canada to network, share successful strategies and innovations as well as challenges in clinical placements, and explore how to move forward in creating a network of colleagues who are interesting in collaborating and focusing on best practices in clinical placements in nursing education in Canada.
