Date and Time: Thursday, February 13th from 2:00 – 3:00pm ET
This webinar will discuss gender inclusivity from an intersectional lens as it relates to providing abortion care. Presenters will describe how nurses can support the provision of gender-affirming care in reproductive health and abortion care with trans and non-binary clients. Intersecting identity factors that create barriers to abortion care services will be discussed. Participants will understand how socioeconomic intersections make accessing abortion more difficult for gender diverse populations, and presenters will share resources on navigating situations of conflict with employers, supervisors and/or patients in belief-based denial of care for abortions.
This live presentation will be supported by simultaneous translation and attendees will have the option to listen in French or English.
