We encourage submissions from a variety of perspectives and with narrative, creative, and transcription components. Authors are encouraged to make submissions solution-oriented with the intention of leading to positive change.
Authors must include identifying information in their submissions to situate themselves in place and history, as related to Indigeneity and/or Settler ancestry. This should include location and community belonging, nursing role and assumptions relevant to their topic such as respect for local Indigenous Peoples’ Knowledges and contextual realities. We encourage the application of distinct nation-based analysis/discussion in all submissions. All authors will be required to provide contact information for a community representative to be included in the final publication.
As well, authors of the submitted manuscripts will be offered the option of participating in open peer review (not double blind), with the goal of mentorship and increased capacity for scholarship.
